At the age of 18, Keith Moore graduated with honors from The University of
Texas with a business degree and began work for a large Dallas real estate
firm, specializing in multi-family housing. From this experience and his
own philanthropic work with the homeless, Mr. Moore decided to establish
the Moore Homes For People Foundation (MHFPF) when he was only 24 years old.
Under his leadership MHFPF has provided quality homes for more than 30 Dallas
homeless families in the past three years and has plans to double by the
year 2006.

MHFPF Helps Smith Family Get First Home
Lisa and Jeff Smith and their two young children have never had a home of their
own. They lived with relatives and friends while the Smiths tried to find
jobs after suffering financial ruin after Mr. Smith fought a battle with
cancer. Thanks to MHFPF, the Smiths were able to have a permanent residence
and a secure future. The Foundations also helped Mr. Smith obtain a permanent
position at a local bank and Mrs. Smith has joined the MHFPF as a volunteer. “Our
new home has changed our lives and made us believe that dreams do come true,” Mr.
Smith said. “Thanks to MHFPF our future looks bright.”

Smith family for 12 months prior to placement in a new home.
Volunteers Put in Countless Hours to Restore Condemned Homes to New for Dallas
Homeless Families
Marina Fair, Janet Mount and Scott Posner lead the team of MHFPF volunteers
in raising funds needed and providing the labor to convert 10 condemned Dallas
houses to dream homes for 10 local homeless families. The trio contributed
a combined total of 4,950 hours raising funds, securing volunteers and sponsors
and physically re-building the homes.

MHFPF’s Volunteer Staff Receives National Medal
of Achievement
The National Posbin Federation has selected MHFPF to receive its prestigious
2004 National Medal of Achievement award for the organization’s tremendous
impact in a local community. The national award, which includes a $100,000
grant, is presented annually to a nonprofit organization that has made a
significant contribution to a local community.
